Kelly had been exploring the castle when she decided to write her parents a letter. Well, her parents and little sister. She sat down on the floor up against a wall, not sure of which corridor she was in. Grabbing a piece of parchment and a quill she had stuffed in her school bag (which she seemed to carry everywhere), Kelly scribbled down a short letter to her family. It wasn't anything major, but Kelly just wanted to let them know that she had arrived safely. She sealed the letter, and began walking to try and find the Owlery.

Finally, she arrived, and found that there were actually other students at Beauxbatons as well. For a while, she thought she was the only human being at this school, but now she was thankful to be proven wrong. Kelly smiled, and said to the gorgeous blonde girl, "Hi, I'm Kelly. Are you new too?" It wasn't a very good conversation starter, but Kelly wasn't good at that stuff anyway. She continued smiling as she looked around for her owl, Cassidy. Kelly found her, and then began to tie the letter to the owl's leg as she waited for the girl to answer.
